T20 World Cup 2022:The first round of the 2022 T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on Sunday 16 October. Sri Lanka and Namibia will play their Group A matches at the Symonds Stadium in Geelong on Sunday.
The 2022 edition of the T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on Sunday, 16 October. Eight teams will participate in the first round of the tournament, out of which four will qualify for the Super 12.
The Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Namibia and Sri Lanka make up the first group. The second group includes the West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland and Scotland. The top two teams from each group will join the other eight teams in the Super 12.
Sri Lanka and Namibia will start the match on Sunday with their Group A match at the Symonds Stadium in Geelong. After that the second match will be played between United Arab Emirates and Netherlands.
The first round matches of the T20 World Cup will be telecast on Star Sports Network. The matches will be broadcast live on Disney+Hotstar.
