Reader Rabbit Kindergarten is basically an activity game where players enlist the help of Reader Rabbit and his friends to find equipment in Balloon City. Players also participate in a variety of educational mini-games to learn skills such as memory, pattern recognition and basic math.

Designed for ages 4-6, the game’s plot sees the player helping Reader Rabbit and Matt the Mouse gather resources for a large campfire party at Camp Happy Tales. This game is designed to teach children skills such as math, phonetics, reading and listening. The press release stated that the game “includes vibrant music, vivid graphics and engaging characters to encourage imaginative learning”.The game included 16-bit color and sound.
