One of the problems with the set of bonus bottle episodes introduced at the end of Season 10 of The Walking Dead was that they were made in a way that didn’t particularly make sense for the general narrative. Sure, they were fun. They have some great character moments that help explain how the survivors became these people, and what kind of adventures they might have had in the middle of the season, but they just aren’t satisfied with the narration.
From the opening moments of “Renderition,” when a female Reaper in a mask sees Daryl running away, it’s all too easy to tell that the person may have been there even before the big reveal. The eyes are all too familiar to anyone who remembers Daryl’s episode “Find Me.” Each Reaper rushes in to fight and she stays focused on Daryl.
You follow him through a burning factory, always one step back, while trying to avoid human dangers and get away. By the time Doug betrays Daryl and runs towards him, it’s clear that this is a number from Daryl’s past, even if you don’t mind Daryl for Season 10C. oh you missed it! She finds her lost love after years of separation! Boo for Daryl! She is not alone. His fellow reapers surround him and hold him with a bag over his head and drag him away. She is clearly not interested in resuming her old affair.
There’s no fury in hell like a disgusting old flame that has access to a murder squad. How did Leah end up with the biters? Leah’s origin story portrayed in “Find Me” is a common relic of the fall. She was with a group, the group broke up, and she eloped with her adopted son Matthew until she stumbles into the cabin upon meeting Daryl. Matthew died after being bitten in the chaos; Leah completely spared the body and placed it on Doug until Daryl appeared, the first person she saw since Matthew’s death.
