kristen stewart princess diana trailer:Kristen Stewart rocked CinemaCon – and social media – with the first shots of her role as Princess Diana against Ice Prince Charles in the Spencer film.
Neon Films revealed the Pablo Lahren-directed film’s debut Wednesday at the National Convention of Theater Owners ahead of the launch of the official trailer on Thursday. The company also released the first “Spencer” poster (scheduled for release on November 5). Diana appeared in her famous wedding dress, which was crying.
Stewart’s Best Actress Oscar talks for Showcase were already expected, but with the first shots, expectations rose as Spencer’s film entered the highly coveted festival circuit. The play will have its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival next month before moving to the Toronto International Film Festival on September 15.
The film’s trailer is noticeably less tense than the footage shown at CinemaCon. The trailer begins with pictures of Christmas dinner preparations and gives glimpses of various scenes from the film.

Madam, they’re waiting for you,” an off-camera man told the princess after beating her. Later we saw an exchange between Princess Diana and a friend in the garden. “They know everything,” says the friend. “They don’t,” replied the princess. Fixed footage from CinemaCon, which has not been released publicly, showed Stewart (who was not present at the convention) broadcasting to the late Princess of Wales. A tense confrontation with Prince Charles (played by Jack Farthing) occurs in the grand drawing room of the Sandringham Royal Estate, with a pool table between the two.
Diana replied, “It looks like they’re just surrounding me, not you.””The thing is Diana,” Charles told her, “you must both be.” “The real one and the person they’re taking pictures of.” “We’re given tasks, you have to be able to make your body do the things you hate,” says Charles. “For the good of the people because they don’t want us to be the people.” “Who do you hate?” Diana responded, with Stewart leading the tone and vocals.
“Let me just say: Wow. Can’t wait to see the rest. Kristen Stewart names it,” Entertainment Weekly critic Lauren Huff wrote on Twitter, before adding, “I have an Oscar feeling in her future.” “
Insider Entertainment reporter Jason Geracio wrote on Twitter: “Kristen Stewart is doing everything she can for Oscar glory. And Princess Dee pronounces it immediately!” “Spencer” stars Sally Hawkins as Diana’s best friend and Timothy Spall as Queen Elizabeth II’s security member, in order to keep the paparazzi away from Diana and on short notice.
