IPL 2024:The Indian Premier League is scheduled to begin on Friday, March 22. This is shaping up to be an exciting season for two special reasons – first, it will be the last season before the mega auction. Secondly, it will also be a precursor to the IPL T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the United States and the Caribbean islands in June.
Many advanced players who missed their chances in the tournament last season are now set to make a comeback. On the Indian side, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer return to the franchise after injuries last year.
IPL 2024 will also see the return of Mitchell Starc, who will play his first Indian Premier League since 2015. The Australian fast bowler bowled brilliantly in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. This will definitely be the highlight of this season.
IPL 2024 SCHEDULE
The Indian Premier League has announced the schedule for the first 17 days of the tournament. The rest of the schedule has not been announced yet due to the Lok Sabha elections in India, but senior BCCI leadership have confirmed that the tournament will not be moved out of India.
IPL 2024 DATE 2024
The Indian Premier League will begin on Friday, March 22 between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The first doubles match of the tournament is scheduled to take place on March 23, where PBKS and DC and KKR and SRH will clash.
IPL 2024 MATCH VENUES
IPL 2024 will be played all over India. No matches will be played in New Delhi and Mohali this season. The matches will be played at Mullanpur Stadium in Vizag and Chandigarh instead of Arun Jaitley Stadium and IS Bindra Stadium.
