Bangalore:Kolkata Knight Riders Fast Baller Prasadi Krishna has tested positive for COVID-19 and is in quarantine in Bengaluru.
The BCCI said on Saturday.The 25-year-old young kkr pacer Krishna, who was named in the Indian team for the tour of England, is the fourth player from KKR to have contracted the dreaded virus.
A BCCI source said, “Prisidh is COVID positive and is currently separated from home in Bengaluru.”
Varun Chakraborty, Sandeep Warrier And Tim Seifert are the other KKR players who have previously tested positive. According to a BCCI source, both Krishna and Warrior contracted the virus to Chakraborty during a training session. He said that Krishna is a close friend of Chakravarti.
“All the players in India left the bubble on May 3 after getting two negative results. However, they did a positive test when they reached Bengaluru,” the source said.
The BCCI is hoping that on May 25, the UK players will enter the bio bubble in India, till then Krishna will test negative.
