Hero ISL 2022:The 2022-23 Indian Premier League (ISL) season has started well and the first round matches will end on Tuesday, October 11. All teams, except FC Goa, played their opening matches in the competition. The atmosphere was encouraging as fans returned to the stadium after a two-year hiatus.
Some teams lived up to the expectations and some surprising results came out. Not necessarily upset, but some would have expected Chennaiyin FC to score three points against ATK Mohun Bagan in Kolkata.
In only the second game of the ISL season, drama and controversy affected the league. After two halves of football, Bengaluru FC entered the match with a header from Alan Costa in the 87th minute.
It looked like the home team had sealed the tie, but minutes later, John Gazzanaga’s powerful shot in the net ended for Bengaluru FC. The NorthEast United FC players burst into joy, but the referee, to the surprise of everyone, refused to score for offside.

The last game day of the first week of play was arguably the most exciting match of the season so far. Led by new coach Josep Gumbo, Odisha traveled to the JRD Tata Sports Complex, home of last season’s title winners in the Jamshedpur FC Shield.
The jugglers were immersed in the opening exchanges as they were two goals behind during the first ten minutes. But in the 17th minute, Diego Mauricio rebuilt a home in Juggernaut’s hearts with his volley from outside the penalty area.
There is no pressure on Jamshedpur FC coach Eddie Boothroyd to claim his league champion. Speaking to the media at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday, he said that it is a great honor to exert pressure from this champion. But this has become a thing of the past. This year we are starting a new journey. Jamshedpur FC will take on Odisha FC in the Indian Premier League (ISL) on Monday.
