Australia started off with a win by defeating New Zealand by three wickets in their first warm-up match. However, David Warner’s poor performance here continued even after the IPL and he was dismissed on the very first ball. Adam Zampa and Kane Richardson bowled well but the middle-class batsmen failed. Ashton Agar and Mitchell Starc eventually played small roles to lead the team to victory.
