Champions Trophy 2025: A total of eight teams will participate in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, but only five teams will play practice matches before February 19. These include Pakistan, Afghanistan, New Zealand, South Africa and Bangladesh.
Afghanistan, South Africa and Bangladesh will play practice matches on February 14 and 17. At the same time, Afghanistan will also take the field against New Zealand on February 16. These matches will be the last chance to test the performance of the players before the tournament.
South Africa and New Zealand have already reached Pakistan and are participating in the triangular series with the host team. This has further intensified the preparations for the tournament.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced three different Pakistan Shaheen teams for the practice matches.
- February 14: Shadab Khan will lead the team against Afghanistan in Lahore.
- February 17: Mohammad Huraira will captain the team against South Africa in Karachi.
- February 17: Mohammad Haris will lead the team against Bangladesh in Dubai.
