New Delhi. Tata Motors on Monday announced the launch of the all-new Safari SUV. Tata Motors has started the Tata Safari 2021 at a price of Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom) for this 2021. The company has introduced this car in two different seating layouts. Six and seven seater six trims with XE, XM, XT, XT +, XZ and XZ +. Apart from this, the company has also introduced a new adventure personal trim of Safari. The new Safari is already based on the Tata five-seater SUV Harrier in the market and has similar styling. It is Tata’s latest model to use the ‘Impact 2.0’ design, first introduced in the Harrier and Ultros.
It is the second model after the Harrier based on the Omegark architecture derived from Land Rover’s famous D8 platform. Within the new fledgling Safari, it is a floating type 8.8-inch touch screen infotainment system and a semi-digital console for the driver, the same unit seen in the Harrier. In addition there is an electronic parking brake instead of the traditional lever-type handbrake. For the record, it is the first used feature in Tata Motors.
Safari’s key features include panoramic sunroofs, driver-seat seats, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and more. The Safari SUV is a 2.0-liter diesel engine under the bonnet that produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The car’s transmission options include a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox.
